Green Summer at the Rancho [August-September]

During these months, the ranch is transformed into a lush, green and remarkably colorful and lively land, offering incredible scenery and an energy that can only be found during our Green Summer. From mid-July through mid-September, the ranch is visited by 16 inches of Monsoon rain, completely altering our landscape and offering a ranch that seems to be transported to Costa Rica. Our semi-tropical desert comes alive in the green lush and dense vegetation that appears, together with a wide range of wildflowers. There is a reason we call this time of year our Second Spring. Together with our almost daily, late-afternoon monsoon storms, which arrive over the Sierra Madres, offering incredible clouds, powerful energy, dropping temperatures, mesmerizing thunder and fantastic lightning and electrical shows, a visit to the Rancho at this time of year will surely leave you in awe, and wonderment, of our desert oasis.
